The desire to offer the best product and service to the sector has led Alvic to have a team with experience and knowledge that has acted as the cornerstone of its expansion and growth.
We are permanently investigating and, in many cases, using the advice and suggestions of our own clients and collaborators. Our desire is to improve day by day, without forgetting the internal organization to offer an after-sales service that meets the expectations of all our customers.
Alvic has several of its own Call Centers distributed throughout all the geographical areas where it is present, with the aim of being able to offer customers a fast and personalized service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Servicomput, S.A. was founded on Calle Morgades in the city of Vic (Barcelona) and became Alvic Group some years later. It was established as a traditional IT company, with software development for SMEs as its core business.
The company responds to the industry's need for a POS (Point of Sale Terminal) application adapted to petrol stations, a totally autonomous and manual system with no connection to any other control device.
After this first version, the company has added to the system the connection to a console called “Multivideo”, specifically for Ein France pumps. Thus, Alvic Group has become one of the first companies at the moment to have a point of sale with connection to a pump control console.
Alvic Group realises that it must have its own system for connecting to other pump brands. The Engineering Department is created, which starts to work on its own communications and hardware, such as the Alvic Console and the HCP concentrator.
The company develops this universal console together with a collaborating company from Alicante. At this time, the Alvic brand is born (Alicante and Vic) and the first branches are opened. The CAR3 software for distribution centres is also launched.
Alvic Group opens the first international offices in Porto and Mexico City, together with the new headquarters in Centelles. The new project in America embraces the same philosophy and goals as in Europe, but with products that fully adapt to the country’s needs.
The company starts its activity in Africa. The applications evolve into the new and current Octan Office, for petrol stations, and Heptan, for distribution centres.
The company enters the South American markets with the creation of Alvic Peru. It also expands its presence in Mexico with the creation of Coltan Invest.
Alvic Group has had an R&D&I Department since the opening of the Development Factory & Research (DFR). Multidisciplinary specialists develop all the equipment: design, software or firmware, electronics, components, etc.
Alvic Group's presence in South America grows with the establishment of DFR Colombia in Bogota. The company also kicks off projects related to new energies, such as electricity, gas and hydrogen.
Alvic celebrates its 35th anniversary with the largest presence in the industry on the Iberian Peninsula and international expansion to more than 15 countries. With technology as the cornerstone of a constantly updated project, Alvic has become a benchmark in the energy industry.
At present, the company is also working on becoming one of the promoters and agents of the energy change, while providing its experience to the transformation of the industry.
Alvic has joined Total Specific Solutions (TSS), which is part of Constellation Software, a global leader in vertical software and the world’s eighth most valuable software brand.
This partnership marks a major step forward for Alvic, its clients, and collaborators, enabling the company to expand its capabilities and offer even more innovative solutions tailored to all kinds of needs.
Customers are, without a doubt, Alvic's main asset, represented by SMEs, large companies and multinationals.
